Previous Associations:
After graduating law school, Kathy clerked for the Hon. Judge Marvin J. Garbis on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She then practiced corporate tax law at the Washington DC office of Fried Frank, specializing in the structuring and negotiation of corporate acquisitions and reorganizations as well as the formation of investment partnerships and other joint ventures. She joined Schlesinger and Buchbinder in 2020.

Community:
Kathy is an active member of the community, previously serving as President of
the Waban Area Council and currently as a board member of the Newton South Boosters Club.
Kathy is also a long-time board member of Flying Kites, a Boston-based nonprofit that runs a
school and teacher-training institute in Kenya, focusing on the education and care of critically-
poor children.

Little Known Facts:
Kathy enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as trying to keep up with her
four children on the ski slopes.
